The Buzz: Sources close to Nintendo have revealed that Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii will not be released until Xmas 2007.
Citing unnamed sources, CVG reports that three of Nintendo's biggest games - the Wii duo of Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3, along with Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for DS - will not be released until Christmas 2007.
CVG also contacted Nintendo who confirmed a 2007 release date for each title and did not deny the Christmas release dates.
"We never confirmed a date for Super Mario Galaxy, but I can confirm that Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and Phantom Hourglass will all release in 2007. We can't confirm an exact release date for any of these titles at this time," said a Nintendo rep.
It will certainly be a massive disappointment if all three titles are a year away from release, with many Wii purchases likely made with the hope of playing Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 in the near future.

Boooo
"metroid is cummin out in march" - at the earliest, which probably means it won't be out then.

I can see maybe one of the two getting pushed back, but I doubt both. If the rumour's true though, my Wii's going to be collecting a lot of dust this year.
