UK Video Game Chart: Mario Kart Wii back on top

6% sales increase is enough to see it climb two places and replace Wii Fit at No.1.

Chart Track reports that Nintendo has maintained its hold on the All Prices All Formats video game chart, only now thanks to the rise of Mario Kart Wii - up two places from No.3.

The family friendly multiplayer racer dislodges Wii Fit (down 24%) which falls to No.2. SEGA's Beijing 2008 climbed ten places to No.3 while its Mario & Sonic title also climbed to spend the week at No.4. Wii Play holds strong at No.5.

There are only two new entries of note: EA's Madden NFL 09 at No.17 and Summer Athletics from Eidos at No.25.
