Speaking during Nintendo's recent Japanese press conference, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata announced that the upcoming Wii version of the hit Mario Kart series will feature support for an impressive 12 players online.
He also hinted at improvements to the matchmaking system, although it seems unlikely Nintendo will abandon the friend code system it introduced on the Nintendo DS.
