The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

@PS30wner: Xbox LIVE is without a doubt the best online service, and it is that because you pay for it. i would rather pay 40 quid a year than have a free online service which is prone to lag spikes and high latencies.

But we are not paying for jpg's but themes. For wallpapers, we can just use a storage device and transfer it from the computer to the xbox and, it does not charge you.Not saying that the ps3 is lousy, but i personaaly think that now it just depends on your preference of games.

You mean Xbox owners not only have to pay for Live, MS don't even give paying customers free themes and pictures either?!!

Wow, just wow, all that money they must be raking in from Live subscriptions and they don't even give customers jpgs for free! lol

Free online, free themes, free wallpapers, and real pound note prices - you may call it a tie, I call it a clear win for the PS3, even with a uninspiring update...
