In addition to a record-breaking launch for the Xbox 360 S, Microsoft is also able to hold onto the UK Video Games Chart No.1 position.

Crackdown 2 saw a 36 per cent fall off in its second week, but still had enough in the tank to beat off Ubisoft's Dance on Broadway at No.2 - though there's only 800 units in it.

Lego Harry Potter fell one place to No.3 and Red Dead also slides a place to No.4. The week's only new entry is Disney's Toy Story 3 which is new at No.5.

Elsewhere promotions on Alan Wake help the supernatural thriller back up the chart to No.11, while 2K's BioShock 2 also enjoyed a bump from No.24 to No.12.

There's little in the way of new releases hitting stores on Friday, with Dragon Quest IX on DS the only game of any significance.

I got it too and the reason I'm disappointed is because it's far too samey. It hasn't even got the depth of the first game which is shocking really. Same thing over and over.

Trading my copy in tomorrow. Basically because I played a good 4 hours on the weekend with a friend. I joined his game. No save data was stored on my machine so the missions we completed are only apparent on his machine. WHAT A RIP! Goodbye Crap Down Poo.

I think it's sold well because Game were knocking £20 off the price with the 360 Slim. I got a copy that way.

Still worth picking up, I know the reviews haven't all been great but I get the feeling some people wanted much more than the original game and were disappointed that it wasn't all that different.

Now I've started playing it, I can see why its still on top. Ruffian and Microsoft have created a most fun game, worthy of the recognition. To hell with the mixed reviews... just goes to show that the media doesn't necessarily dictate buying patterns...
