UK Video Game Chart: Just Dance claims No.1
Modern Warfare 2 slips from its throne.
According to data released by GfK ChartTrack, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's run at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart has been ended by Ubisoft's surprise Wii hit, Just Dance.
Just Dance debuted on the chart at No.100 seven weeks ago, but has been steadily rising ever since to become Ubisoft's first No.1 since Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 back in March 2008. The game saw a huge 114 per cent rise in sales week-on-week, enough to see it overtake Modern Warfare 2 and Wii Fit Plus.
Modern Warfare 2 actually has to settle for third place on the chart, beaten into second by the aforementioned Wii fitness title.
EA's Army of Two: The 40th Day is new at No.4, Wii Sports Resort slips to No.5, THQ's Darksiders climbs two places to No.6, Bayonetta slides to No.7 and FIFA 10 drops to No.8. Ubisoft takes ninth and tenth places with Avatar and Assassin's Creed II respectively.
New releases to look out for next week include Capcom's Dark Void and Resident Evil Archives: Zero. While the former is expected to chart higher, neither seems likely to shake up the chart's upper echelon.
