Ice Age 2 ready for Wii launch

Sierra Entertainment has announced that Ice Age 2 is now available nationwide for the Wii.

Based on the current console versions of the game, Ice Age 2: Meltdown for the Wii will take full advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, enabling players to guide Ice Ace characters through puzzles and mini-games.

In addition to the new control scheme, the Wii game will include extra scenes from the movie.

"Fox has stepped up as a partner to offer an incredible amount of talent, assets, and effort to the game, which also takes full advantage of the Wii Remote's motion sensors. The result is an action-packed adventure featuring non-stop entertainment that is sure to appeal to gamers of all ages."

The Wii version joins the already available PS2, Xbox, GameCube, DS, GBA and PC versions of the game.
