RedOctane confirms Guitar Hero 3 online play for Wii

RedOctane has confirmed to Pro-G that the upcoming Wii version of Guitar Hero III will feature online play when it launches later this year. However, players looking forward to expanding the track list will have to wait.

"There will, in fact, be Online gameplay for the Wii when Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock launches in late October," said RedOctane's Jordan Dodge. "However, there will not be Downloadable content available on the Wii at launch. That, we are still working with Nintendo on."
