A look ahead to Friday's new releases.
Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.
Recommended: EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis - Wii
It's not perfect, but as far as realistic tennis video games go this is about as good as it gets. No other game (at least not until Virtua Tennis on Wii arrives) gives you the same sense that you're actually playing the sport, with your swing really determining what happens in the game. The career mode isn't great and there are some odd control irks, but as the first example of MotionPlus in action we reckon Grand Slam Tennis is worth a look.
Recommended: Prototype - Xbox 360, PS3 and PC
The open-world superhero genre is about to get even more competition. Activision's Prototype may bare a resemblance to Sony's infamous, but we reckon this is a little more action packed, far more brutal and a great deal of fun. Alex Mercer's move set is also something to get excited about as it's not often you can unleash a wave of spikes that maim everything unlucky enough to get caught in its path.
And the rest…
Chronicles of Mystery - PC
Guitar Hero: Metallica - PS2
Horrible Histories: Ruthless Romans - PC, Wii and DS
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings - Wii, PS2, DS and PSP
Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodgeball - Wii
Secret Agent Clank - PS2
