New Wii fighting game with MotionPlus support.

gladiator -

Conduit developer High Voltage Software has revealed Gladiator A.D., the first of two new titles currently in development for the Wii.

Gladiator A.D. Is described as a brutal fighter that takes players back to ancient Rome to compete in bloody battles - made all the more realistic thanks to full support for the Wii MotionPlus.

Players choose a Gladiator (each fighter will have unique attacks, behaviours, moves and weapons) and battle through a series of competitions, ranging from one-on-one to the altogether more challenging. After winning over the blood-thirsty crowd, players can challenge the champions in the hope of claiming their fame and wealth, even freedom.

Wii owners can also expect impressive visuals, with High Voltage CEO and founder Kerry Ganofsky telling IGN: "We are using the Quantum3 engine for Gladiator as well. Improvements are continually being made to the engine and we are taking full advantage of each update. Being an arena-style game, we are able to push the graphics up a few notches."

You'll find more info on the game exclusively on IGN.

Excellent! This is the sort of support the Wii needs!

Thank you High Voltage! I guess we'll see more at E3. :D
