New mission-based gameplay, co-op and versus multiplayer, and DS to Wii link up.
Sierra Entertainment has today announced the development of Geometry Wars: Galaxies, a 2D arcade shooter in development exclusively for Wii and Nintendo DS.
Galaxies takes the classic Geometry Wars gameplay and adds a new mission-based campaign in which players will be defending solar systems from waves of alien enemies.
AdvertisementAlso new to the series is co-op and versus multiplayer modes, plus special Wii to DS link-up that will unlock bonus content. The Wii game will also include online leaderboards.
The controls have been optimised for their respective systems, allowing gamers to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck or DS touch screen to pull off moves like never before. One final bonus is the inclusion of the full version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.
No release date has been announced at this time.
