Furu Furu Park News

For:Wii Release Date: 2007

Furu Furu Park to feature a collection of 30 arcade-style games designed to take advantage of the Wii-mote.

If there's one thing the Wii is in desperate need of it's more games targeted at the casual gamer. OK, that's a lie, and in fairness the Wii does these kind of titles better than most - bar maybe the DS.

It's probably for this reason, together with the fact this type of game is selling well on Nintendo's latest console, that Majesco has announced the development of Furu Furu Park.

The game is in development by Taito and 505 Games and will feature a collection of 30 arcade-style games designed to get players using the full range of motion offered by the Wii-mote, including spinning, shaking and rotating.

Games of note include Arkonoid, an arcade classic pitting paddle and ball against a wall of blocks; Pinch Hitter, a baseball game; Bubble Bobble, which will have players holding the Wii-mote like NES controller; Safe Cracker, a memory game using the tilt functionality of the Wii-mote; Sonic Blastman 20XX, which sees players punching asteroids; and Super Karate, a test of martial arts skill.

The game will also feature three multiplayer modes: Free Battle, Panel Attack and Love Challenge.

Furu Furu Park is scheduled for release later this year.
