Codemasters has announced that F1 2009, the official video game of the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship, will be released in the UK on November 20, 2009. The game will ship to US stores on November 17 and will be available in Japan a month later on December 18.

F1 2009 on the Wii promises an authentic recreation of the FIA Formula One World Championship that is accessible for the entire family, yet also challenging for more experienced driving game enthusiasts.

The Wii game features two player split-screen, while PSP players can take part in four-player races using wireless.

Wii gamers will also be able to utilise a limited edition Race Wheel accessory, styled after the steering wheel of a Formula One car, that will ship with the Wii edition of the game.
