DK Games, an independent video game developer, has announced the upcoming release of Equilibrio, a gyrating ball puzzle solving and manipulation game.

Equilibrio is set in a colourful world and promises to test not only player reflexes but also their grey matter. The idea is simple: get your ball to the exit pod. Only in Equilibrio the level is turned upside down and players must use the Wii Remote or Wii Balance Board to rotate the play area varying degrees in either direction. Move the ball too fast and it can shatter, but move too slow and the ball will not be powerful enough to spring to the desired spot.

The game will feature over 64 levels, with new elements constantly being introduced to bamboozle players. Lethal traps and objects will litter the ball's path, from deadly spikes to acid pools, but you'll also come across helpful objects such as cannons and trampolines. Additionally, balls can be made of different materials, such as stone, rubber, glass, steel and paper.

Equilibrio will be released on WiiWare first in Europe and will follow at a later date in the Americas. Check back tomorrow for an interview with Christophe Kohler, founder of DK Games.
