Over half a million units of Cooking Mama for Nintendo DS have shipped to retail since its release.
Developed by Office Create and licensed from Taito, Cooking Mama has become a surprise hit, with over 500,000 units of the DS version having shipped to US retail since the game was released 11 months ago.
"We are excited by the sales performance of Cooking Mama as it reinforces Majesco's content and platform strategy," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing. "We look forward to further building the franchise while introducing new players to the fun and unique gameplay within Mama's kitchen."
Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends for Nintendo DS, along with a Wii console sequel, is expected to ship across Europe early in 2008.
