Speaking during a GDC presentation, Electronic Arts has revealed an exciting new feature for Boom Blox, its upcoming Steven Spielberg collaboration for Wii.

Louis Castle, VP of creative development at EA LA, revealed what he called his "GDC Easter Egg", a rather exciting sounding head-tracking system which will enable players of Boom Blox to control camera movements with the motion of their head.

Users will need to strap a device to their head, something which Castle is available from Amazon.com for only $9. Castle noted: "It makes your television screen look like a window into a 3D world instead of just a camera that moves through a world."

For an idea of what to expect take a look at this home-made Wii virtual reality demo.

That is very, very interesting, but it closes the game out in terms of the total Wi audience, because not everyone is going to be going out to buy a new peripheral just for the game. That said, perhaps the game can be played without ever using the feature, so who knows...
