Boogie is a completely new IP in development at EA Montreal and will be released exclusively for the Wii in 2007. It's described as a unique music/rhythm-based game that will take advantage of the Wii controllers to get gamers up off the couch and dancing.

"We're creating something new and different for gamers of all ages to enjoy; the complete party package where gamers can dance as well as sing," said Alain Tascan, Vice President and General Manager, EA Montreal. "Nintendo's Wii is an amazing console that really gives us a platform to be creative and to re-think traditional game development."

Boogie sounds like it will be much more than a run-of-the-mill dancing game, offering players the ability to dance, sing and star in their own music videos.

Expect more details on Boogie later this year.
