Nintendo has announced the July 20 European release of Big Brain Academy for Wii.
Fans of the DS brain puzzlers Brain Training and Big Brain Academy will soon have something to play with on the Wii. Nintendo has announced that a Wii version of Big Brain Academy is to be released across Europe on July 20.
This new Wii version will contain all new mini-games and multiplayer modes, allowing players to challenge family and friends from the comfort of the couch.
The game is part of Nintendo's Touch! Generations and as such is designed to be easily accessible to people of all ages and skills. Each of the mini-games has been designed around the Wii Remote and have been divided into five categories: Visualise, Memorise, Analyse, Compute and Identify.
In single-player, a Mii is enrolled in the academy and players must then play through all five categories after which Dr Lobe (a talking brain) will calculate the player's brain weight.
Three multiplayer modes are also included, allowing up to nine people to battle it out to become the biggest brain. Mind Spirit sees two players going head-to-head in a split-screen race. Other modes include Mental Marathon, which tasks players with keeping a perfect score and Brain Quiz.
Using WiiConnect24 players will also be able to send student records to friends who also have the game. This student record can then be used to work out how the player would perform to create a unique challenge.
Big Brain Academy for Wii will be released across Europe on July 20.
