Guild Wars 2: Where The Hell Is Matt?

I rolled my Mesmer up last night (Sylvari), only took an hour which is good for me! I challenge anyone to find anything cooler than a Mesmer with a great sword! Floaty-spinning sword that fires lasers!? Yes please!

Necro was easily my favourite class in GW1, simply because of the variety of playstyles it offered. It all depended on the group I was with. I could play standard Minion Master, or switch up and go toe to toe as a Vampire Tank, or I could combine with Mesmers who knew the class to pile the afflictions onto mobs before they ripped them off. I always prefer to go caster classes, but like to get up close and personal when the fighting starts!

Somewhat enjoying the Engineer class at the moment for similar reasons, although having a very powerful rifle means that event bosses tend to aggro on me quite quickly, and my class has no real way to take damage if my Healing turret goes down. However, grenades are genuine nukes, and Rocket Boots are just fun! Can't wait until I also get my Golems.

Haha :) I've yet to try a mesmer, might roll that as my next class.

My main now is a Ranger too, and like you said just feels very comfortable but still a lot of fun.

I feel the Mesmer is a contender for my main caster rather than the necro, but the Ranger is so much fun at the moment!

The mechanics of the class feel comfortable and familiar like a comfy, worn jumper, but it's all about the furries (creatures that is) - I'm definitely a pet whore (yes, I already have 6 minipets...)!

I had real trouble with the necro class. It sounded great on paper which is why I rolled my main as one, but by level 10 I was super bored of the playstyle already :(

I may try Necro and Engi as well, but generally there's too much time investment to fully commit to more than 2.

The Asura dance is basically the sole reason I decided to play as the race. I've made an engineer, and have adopted my old EverQuest naming strategy, by calling him Leefixer.

Why you limiting to 2 characters? You get 5 slots. I fully intend to explore a whole range of character and class combinations.

This game wasn't even on my radar and then this hunger, no, this NEED to play it happened and I've not looked back since!!

Asura Thief and Asura Mesmer will be my two characters I reckon. Unless I can make a cool Charr or Slyvari. The Sylvari and Asura starting areas were easily my favourite.

Sarah in her infinite wisdom rang Royal Mail and arranged a re-delivery of my copy of GW2 for Thursday! Which would be fine if the collection office wasnt open till 8pm tomorrow! I'm gonna drop by with the attempted delivery slip anyway and see if they can dig it out before it's delivered again.

Holy cow that Asura dance is so good. I have a human ranger, but I must get my little munchkin out rocking to some Skrillex XD
