A new FIFA is coming to the PS Vita, but won't include Cross-play functions or the Cross-Buy Scheme.
The new Vita version of FIFA won't include cross-play functionality or come free with the PS3 version of FIFA 13 in Sony's new Cross-Buy initiative, EA has confirmed.
"We are doing a Vita version," producer David Rutter told Eurogamer at Gamescom, ""Sony were kind enough to put that up yesterday, though I don't know if it's going to be called FIFA 13 or FIFA Soccer."
EA is considering the Cross-Buy initiative for Need for Speed: Most Wanted, but it won't be in this year's FIFA.
Cross-Platform play was also discussed, and whether it is considered an important feature for the FIFA franchise. "We don't have cross-platform play," Rutter said, "It's something that, when you look at the priorities of what's going to be done, do you want to be working on passing, shooting, attacking intelligence etc. or that - and we'd rather make a brilliant playing game for everyone rather than something that's only going to appeal to specific people."
FIFA 13 will be released September 28.
