More information on Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified will be revealed during Gamescom next week, according to a new report.

This week's issue of MCV reports that both Activision and Sony will reveal more info on Declassified during next week's show, which it claims will be released "in a matter of months".

Michael Sportouch, Activision's general manager for Call of Duty in Europe, added that fans "can really expect us to deliver a true Call of Duty experience [with Black Ops: Declassified].

"We are really excited about the opportunities that the Vita could offer us in terms of connecting with a new audience."

Despite the game's supposed imminent release, little is known about Black Ops Declassified beyond the fact that it "explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions".

Back in June, Treyarch told VideoGamer.com that it didn't know who was developing the game.

We were later told that Activision's new Leeds studio would be handling "all handheld" Call of Duty titles going forward. It's unknown whether this extends to Black Ops Declassified.

So who is developing it? And what does it look like?

Expect all to be revealed when Gamescom opens its doors next Wednesday.
