Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty has finally arrived on PlayStation Vita, 18 months after its original PS4 release. If you already own it on PS3 or PS4 you’ll be able to download it for free. Alternatively it’ll cost you £15.99.

The PS Vita version remains largely faithful to the original PS4 version, Oddworld says, complete with the instant QuikSave and QuikLoad functionality found in the home console release, but with some tweaks made specifically for Sony’s handheld.

The ‘old school’ controls are now enabled by default, for example, to better resemble the controls found in the original Abe’s Oddysee, while the bloom and glow effects of the PS4 version have also been stripped out to ensure a look closer to the PSOne game.

You’ll need 1.2GB of available storage space to download it. To see what it looks like on PS Vita, head through to our screenshot gallery.

The Wii U version, meanwhile, is still in development, Oddworld tells us, with work said to be “99.99% complete”.

“New ‘n’ Tasty for Wii U is next on the menu – it’s 99.99% complete and we’re just in the final stages of getting it ready for the platform,” Oddworld Inc said in a statement provided to VideoGamer.com earlier today. “We hope to have news on a release date very soon. We remain committed to our promises to get the game out on all announced platforms.”

Besides PS4 and PS Vita, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is also available to download on Xbox One, PS3 and PC.
