Eidos brings Sudoku puzzler to PSP and DS

Eidos Interactive has announced Zendoku, a new Sudoku-based puzzle game for the PSP and Nintendo DS.

Zendoku is in development at Zoonami and is described as a blend of exciting puzzle battle action with addictive Sudoku gameplay. The game is set against a Far Eastern backdrop with a light hearted martial-arts theme and a variety of colourful characters. You can look forward to a selection of game modes including wireless multiplayer battles.

The game promises an infinite number of Zendoku puzzle permutations to tackle and an intuitive play style making it accessible to most gamers.

"Zendoku's focus is fun and innovation," said Martin Hollis, CEO, Zoonami. "We've turned a familiar paper and pencil game into a puzzling, battling, micro-gaming, fighting extravaganza."

Zendoku currently has no release date.
