Expected to revamp the Lara Croft character, her origins, love interest and villains.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Warner Bros. and producer Dan Lin are in early development of a reboot of Tomb Raider, the long-running Eidos video game franchise.
Paramount previously made two Lara Croft motion pictures staring Angelina Jolie - Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001 and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life in 2003 - but the rights have since gone back to Eidos. Warner Bros. picked up the movie rights back in December as part of a deal which saw it up its stake in Eidos to 19.92 per cent.
The new movie project is expected to see a complete revamp of the Lara Croft character, bearing little resemblance to the original films. Fans can expect a re-imagining of Lara's origins, her love interest and main villain.
As for who will play the role of Lara, THR notes that this is unlikely to be decided until after a writer and director are attached.

In fact, if they just made a movie based on the first game I would be pretty happy.
