Tekken: Dark Resurrection game modes revealed

Over 30 playable characters and seven game modes will make Tekken's PSP debut more than a simple port.

Tekken looks set to make quite an impressive debut on the PSP

Due for release late this year, Tekken: Dark Resurrection will feature over 30 customisable characters, with arcade favourites being joined by newcomers Dragunov and Lili. Taking advantage of the PSP's wireless abilities, players will be able to play head-to-head with friends using the game's Ad Hoc Wireless mode, but online play sadly won't be possible.

All the usual Tekken game modes such as Arcade Battle, Survival and Practice will be included, as will a new Story Battle mode and Tekken Dojo mode, which sees you fight for the title of 'Tekken Lord'. The character customisation seen in Tekken 5 will also make its way to the PSP, allowing players to purchase new gear for their fighters.
