Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Music look like good bets.
If you wanted any further proof that Christmas is very close - looking at a diary would normally provide the evidence you require - paddypower.com has opened betting for the Christmas video game No.1.
There's no surprise which game is the red hot favourite. After the massive sales of Call of Duty 4, Activision's follow-up, Call of Duty World at War, is odds-on to claims the No.1 position in the All Formats Full Price video game chart compiled by Chart Track for the week ending December 20, 2008.
Offering slightly more generous odds are EA's FIFA 09, PES 2009 and Need for Speed: Undercover. But perhaps the best bets are to be had on a quartet of Nintendo Wii heavy hitters: Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Play and Wii Music. At the time of writing, Wii Fit and Wii Music are at 20-1, Mario Kart Wii is at 40-1 and Wii Play at 50-1.
It's hard to believe any game will manage to topple the all-formats sales of CoD World at War, but those Nintendo prices sure look tempting. You'll find the up to date price list over on paddypower.com.

Im quite suprised to see COD5 as the favourite for Christmas No.1
I was thinking more of Little Big Planet, Gears of War 2 and most probably Banjo & Kazooie from its huge fan base with Nintendo (back in the old N64 days) but 80 or 90% of them have a 360 so I thought that would look like a good contender...

It's not console specific. CoD5/WaW is available on a fair few platforms so, chances are, it'll shift a fair few more copies than the 'exclusive' titles you mentioned Wido.

undercover sucks, COD5 is great, Tomb raider underworld is also good. But, the no. really is cod5 because it is not availale to just pc, x360 or ps3. It will be released on many platforms.

If its number one I'll eat my hat..with all its problems from server crashes, glitching, rubbish support and account resets, you'll be luckly if they ever sell a game again. They should leave making games to other developers and keep there fingers of the computer and away from games. Overall I wouldn't waste another penny on an Treyarch game!!
