Kojima Productions' Ryan Payton says that a sequel to Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops will depend on the retail success of the first game.
Speaking during the PSM Podcast, Kojima Productions Associate Producer Ryan Payton spoke about the possibilities of a MGS Portable Ops sequel, noting: "Just on a personal level that's something I really, really want to do."
However, despite his personal feelings towards the game, the cold hard truth is that if the first game doesn't sell well, the chances of seeing a sequel will be heavily reduced.
"If it's successful on the retail level there will definitely be a sequel," said Payton.
There you go then, if you want a sequel you'll have to go and buy a copy of the first game. Obviously we can't do that in Europe just yet, with the game still to receive a release date, let alone make it to store shelves.
