Lego Batman: The Videogame Features for PSP

On: PSPXbox 360PS3PCWiiDSPS2

Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommendation of the Week: BioShock, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC
After more than a year's wait PS3 gamers can now finally get their hands on one of the best games of 2007. BioShock from 2K Games is still one of the finest examples of atmospheric gaming ever released and PS3 gamers would be foolish to pass it by. We'd hoped for a little more extra content on the game disc, but DLC exclusive to the PS3 game is coming soon in the form of Challenge Rooms. PS3 owners can also rest easy knowing that Trophies have been included, which is nice to see in a third-party release.

Recommendation of the Week: Saints Row 2, PS3 and Xbox 360
It's hard to know where to begin with THQ and Volition's tongue-in-cheek free-roaming gangster game. It's incredibly rough around the edges and will be too crude for a select few 'serious' gamers, but for laughs per minute we're not sure if Saints Row 2 can be beaten. It's packed full with content so you're never at a loss for what to do next, the character customisation is brilliant and the online play (co-op and competitive) is great fun. If you're after a sandbox to mess about in you can't really go wrong with Saints Row 2.

Also out this week: PES 2009, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC
We're still uncertain about this year's PES, but we can say it's an improvement on last year's game. Whether or not it's good enough to warrant a purchase above the excellent FIFA 09 remains to be seen. We can say that Dimitar Berbatov is still at Tottenham, so if you're a depressed Spurs fan you might get some pleasure by fooling yourself with a virtual game of football. Look out for our review very soon.
