Parkour game jumps onto PSP

Eidos reveal Free Running for the PSP.

Edios has announced Free Running for the PSP. Free Running is the first videogame to be based on the growing urban sport that is parkour. In development at Core Design, the game is due out worldwide in autumn 2005.

To become a master you must learn over 50 moves, tricks and stunts, and race against a number of AI opponents. The game has been developed with the help of Sebastien Foucan, one of the founders of the movement. He will appear in the game to give you tips and tricks, and members of UK parkour collection 'Urban Freeflow' will make appearances as playable characters.

"After seeing these guys perform their amazing moves, we just knew we had to make it into a game," said Matt Sansom, executive producer at Core Design. "Working with Sèbastien, Urban Freeflow and the other traceurs has been an amazing experience and hopefully people will feel the same buzz when playing the game. Free Running offers authentic, intense excitement which is true to the spirit and art of parkour."
