UK Video Game Chart: Wii Fit stays strong

FIFA 09 and CoD: World at War unable to topple Nintendo's fitness title.

ChartTrack reports that Nintendo's Wii Fit has made it four consecutive weeks at the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart, with sales slipping by only two per cent over last week.

FIFA 09 moves up one place to No.2, CoD: World at War is down to No.3, Nintendo's Mystery Case Files: Millionheir is new at No.4 and Professor Layton places at No.5. Nintendo managed five games in the All Formats Top 10, including Mario Kart Wii (No.6) and Wii Play (No.7). Skate 2 falls to No.8, Mario & Sonic climbs to No.9 and Guitar Hero: World Tour is up from No.13 to No.10.

Elsewhere a retailer promotion on Valve's Left 4 Dead saw the game jump 32 per cent to No.15 and SimAnimals enters the Top 40 at No.22 on its second week of release.

No, you should keep it and ALSO buy Left 4 Dead! Honestly, I don't know why M&S attracts so much hate, it's a rather great game. Dream Race 4 player? I have near peed myself playing that!

Fifa09, GTAIV and Sonic & Mario at the Olympics. What? Don't look at me like that! Sonic & Mario was a gift gawdamnit!

... I should really trade it in for Left4Dead.

7 out of the 20 for me, would be more if I had more funds. I really should buy Mario & Sonic, and I would probably have bought Professor Layton if I had seen it anywhere before Xmas.

I hate to say it, but out of those 20 games I only bought GTA IV (on release) and...um...Wii Fit a couple of weeks back. I feel dirty now, and that feeling is only slightly alleviated by pointing out that Wii Fit was a gift for someone else.

If there was a Sony Circuit-Training or Microsoft Xercise I'd have had alternatives, but I had no choice. Surprised there isn't a Wii Workout yet. Oh, just checked... there is.
