UK Video Game Chart: Wii Fit back on top
Celebrates its fifth week at the top thanks to a 18% rise in sales.
Chart Track reports that Nintendo's Wii Fit has moved up from No.3 to claim its fifth All Formats All Prices No.1, thanks to an 18 per cent boost in sales. Last week's No.1, FIFA 09, slides 35 per cent and drops to No.4.
It's tight at the top though, with Wii Fit only 1,262 units ahead of Activision's Call of Duty: World at War, followed by Lord of the Rings: Conquest at No.3 (2,500 units behind Wii Fit). Wii Play is a non-mover at No.4, Need for Speed Undercover falls from No.3 to No.6, Mario & Sonic is at No.7, Guitar Hero: World Tour at No.8, Carnival moves up to No.9 and Brain Training is up to No.10.
Besides Wii Fit only two titles saw week on week sales gains: GTA 4 is up 26 per cent thanks to retailer promotions and climbs from No.33 to No.18, and Halo 3 is up 20 per cent re-entering the Top 40 at No.29. The newly released Mirror's Edge on PC didn't perform too well and was unable to assist the multi-format in its quest to climb the chart - week on week sales are down 38 per cent and the game fell from No.23 to No.27.
New releases to watch for in next week's chart include Football Manager Live, Skate 2 and Tomb Raider: Underworld on PS2.
