A preview in the latest issue of Famitsu has revealed the Exit sequel, titled Kangaeru Exit (or Thinking Exit in English) is well into development. The game will once again see Mr ESC tackling puzzles as he tries to save people across more than 110 stages, but this time with more obstacles to overcome.

This time around ropeways and escalators will make an appearance, and there'll also be new survivors, including dogs that need your guidance to get to safety. Stronger male and female characters will also be getting themselves into perilous situations, and presumably their extra strength will be vital in order or overcome certain obstacles. Downloadable content is also promised, so extra levels should be made available after the game's release.

Kangaeru Exit is scheduled for release in Japan in September, but given the delay the first game had reaching Europe, don't get your hopes up for a European release in 2006.
