Square Enix has announced Dissidia duodecim prologus Final Fantasy, a scene-setting prologue to Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy, coming soon exclusively to PSN.

Dissidia duodecim prologus Final Fantasy is described as an all-new tale focusing on Lightning, the protagonist from Final Fantasy XIII. Players will journey through a scenario recounting the events leading to Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy.

In addition to Story Mode, players can engage in quick battles in Arcade Mode. Dissidia duodecim prologus Final Fantasy also offers the ability to carry over in-game items to Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy. The more achievements that players gain during the game, the more items they can acquire.

Another bonus unlockable in Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy is the hugely popular Aerith Gainsborough of Final Fantasy VII as an assist character.

Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy will be released for PSP on March 25.
