The Witcher 3 sells six million copies

CD Projekt Red posts impressive sales results for Geralt's latest outing.

CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3 has sold six million copies in its first six weeks on sale.

The news comes from CD Projekt's latest financial results (via NeoGAF), where the company also claimed to have made a net profit of 237 million PLN ($63 million USD) in the first half of this year.

The publisher went on to note that The Witcher 3 continues to sell well both at retail and digitally.

The VideoGamer crew are big fans of The Witcher 3, and with the recent launch of New Game Plus, players have yet another reason to plough even more hours into its beautifully-realised world.

I doubt that is all that important, Witcher 3 got a lot of new players into the series. The previous Games didn't sold nearly as much after 6 weeks.
