Sony is in talks with Rockstar about the possibility of bringing exclusive content to the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and launching a GTA 5 PS4 hardware bundle.

Asked whether the PS4 version could receive exclusive content or a hardware bundle similar to deals with Activision on Destiny and Ubisoft on Watch Dogs, PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara said:

"There's lots of conversations going on but there's nothing to reveal at this stage. Obviously it's an incredible franchise and we're delighted to be working with Rockstar. We'll flesh out the details as soon as we can."

Sony previously worked with Rockstar on a PS3 GTA 5 hardware bundle, which launched alongside the game last September.

The PS4 version of GTA 5 was revealed during Sony's E3 press conference on Monday and later confirmed for Xbox One and PC.

The game is expected on all platforms this autumn.

To be honest there doesn't seem to be much of a change, apart from obvious visual upgrades. Things like higher density traffic and pedestrians are in the trailer, I think the next gen hardware will allow Rockstar to create a city that feels more 'alive'. Plus, a lot of people held out on buying GTA knowing it will come to next gen/pc. More content will definitely be included though, I expect most of the change will be seen in the multi-player. More players ect. Also, with most of the games at E3 announced to be coming 2015, GTAV will keep people busy until those big hitters release, and with nothing else to play on the new consoles at the moment I think it's a smart move. I've already put in quite a few hours into the old version, but I'll pick it up on PS4 too. Great story, worth playing again.

I'm intrigued to know how this will be on next gen. Will there be more single player content? What will be improved, how will MP be and, most importantly, will it be released at full price? If it releases in the busy Oct / Nov slot then I can't imagine that it would sell well. However, if it came out at the same time as last year (perhaps on its anniversary?) then I think it would sell impressive amounts and would be different enough from Destiny for the two not to collide.
