The actor behind one of GTA 5's three main characters has released a new picture of himself wearing a motion capture suit at Rockstar's offices, leading to speculation that he could be working with the developer on upcoming DLC.
Shawn Fonteno, who plays Franklin in the hit 2013 game, posted the shot to his Instagram account earlier today along with the message "LOL FUCCCCCCC IT ......", where he is seen sitting in the mocap suit in front of posters for Grand Theft Auto IV, LA Noire and Max Payne 3. Rockstar's logo can be seen in a reflection in the glass frame of one of the posters.
It isn't yet clear when the image was taken or whether it's an old photo shot during the game's original development, although some have speculated that he could be involved with single-player DLC for GTA 5.
This isn't the first time Fonteno has posted an image like this, of course. Back in June, he released an image of him donning a mocap suit in front of a poster for GTA Vice City. Again it wasn't clear when the photo was taken.
Rockstar teased that it was working on story DLC for GTA 5 way back in November 2013, later stating that it had "big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas". That content, however, never appeared, with Rockstar instead choosing to focus on updates for GTA Online.
Then, in April 2014, it told fans to look out "for even more additions to both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V, including more holiday-themed updates, some very exciting Story Mode DLC and much more."
The latest word from Rockstar, however, claimed that it had "not made any announcements for DLC in the Story Mode of GTA 5. If we do release any packs, like was done for GTA 4, we will announce it on the newswire along with any information we have about them."
