Gamers hoping to enjoy free access to the Fallout 4 Season Pass after it was mistakenly made available at no cost on the EU PS Store are out of luck. Sony has revoked the purchase by expiring the digital content on March 21, the day before the first Season Pass content was released.

No statement has been made by Sony or Bethesda, but VideoGamer can confirm the purchase has been expired and will not be available to download today. The associated Fallout 4 theme also shows up as expired, though online reports suggest this hasn’t been revoked.

Fallout 4 season pass

The first Season Pass content – Automatron – is available today on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Revoking the free purchase seems the fairest thing to do given many Fallout 4 players had paid for the content. However, not releasing a statement or notifying users of the decision seems a misstep, especially seeing as some who obtained the free Season Pass may have bought Fallout 4 as a result.
