PlayStation 4 racer DriveClub may have been subject to another major delay, with Amazon US updating its product listing to feature a revised September 30 release date.

In addition, pre-order customers also claim to have received emails highlighting a new estimated arrival date of early October.

Sony has yet to confirm a further delay for DriveClub, which is still officially supposed to be on track for an "early 2014" release.

However, speculation that the game has seen a further delay has grown in recent days after Sony Worldwide Studios America development head Scott Rohde revealed that the game had been taken "back to the drawing board".

VideoGamer.com has contacted SCEE for comment.

Last 2 days in a row it has lectured me about not turning it off properly. Perhaps if it didn't take so long to switch off there wouldn't be an issue. The silly light goes out, I unplug, how long am I mean to wait?

And totally agree with the buttons, they are dreadful.

Very true, i am forever dusting the damn thing and switching it on/off or ejecting the disc by accident, the buttons are wayyy too delicate.

@ Karlius Its an expensive thing to suffer from as well. New and shiny don't come cheap, i think i might be part Magpie.

The PS4 doesn't stay shiny for long, it's a magnet for dust.

I'm exactly the same resent the fact I always want something new and shiny.

Watchdogs was another reason. It was not solely because of Drive Club, i did say a deciding factor and to be honest i don't take complete notice in rumour or speculation. If i knew about all these delays before i ordered i'm not sure what i would have done. Then again i'm a bit of sucker when it comes to these things, a new shiny console and all that.

I sort of read that and sympathised with you. However I do question your sanity for pre-ordering on the strength of a title that was being criticised everywhere.

Its easy for people to say that and it seems to be a very common reaction to a delayed game these days "id rather a delayed game than a broken game" although very true i'd personally prefer the well made great game that was also a deciding factor for my day one purchase of my PS4. Plenty of games manage to hit their targets and still churn out great titles and maybe that is down to choosing more realistic deadlines
I just wish they were more upfront about things, they could have informed people about the first delay much much earlier but probably decided to hold off incase people cancelled their day one PS4 pre-orders.
The lack of available PS4 title don't really help the situation either. I'm just so glad that Infamous Second Son gets released next week

Well I'd rather have a delay than a rubbish game, whilst its disappointing I respect their choice if the reason for the delay in genuine.
