Quantic Dream’s E3 2013 PS4 tech demo, The Dark Sorcerer, is the “minimum quality” which can be achieved on the new console, game creator David Cage has promised.

Speaking to Tech Radar about the PS4, Cage explained that he and his team have lofty goals for the new platform.

“[The Dark Sorcerer] is basically Beyond’s engine, and we were so excited with what we could achieve,” said Cage. “Some people were really impressed with the Dark Sorcerer but this is just the beginning, it’s the minimum quality you can get on the console.

“It was done with a very small team, a very small amount of time and small resources. Now we have a full team and we hope to make something really impressive.”

Cage is yet to reveal exactly what he’s working on for PS4, but let’s hope it turns out to be better than the disappointing Beyond: Two Souls.

Setting Dark Sorcerer as the minimum quality level for a PS4 title is pretty exciting, given how impressive the demo was.
