Borderlands developer Gearbox Software has opened a new studio in Quebec City, Canada, to help develop a new “1st Person Action Game”.

Gearbox Studio Quebec currently has 16 openings on its website, including one for a lead game designer on the secret action game. It isn’t clear from the description whether the studio will be leading development on the title, or assisting Gearbox’s main Texas-based studio.

Gearbox is currently working on next year’s competitive first-person shooter Battleborn and a new entry in the Borderlands franchise. It is also expected to be developing a new Duke Nukem title.
