Creative Assembly’s first-person survival horror Alien Isolation has sold over 2.1 million copies, SEGA has revealed.

The figure suggests that sales may have doubled in the 4 months since January, when SEGA announced that the game had sold through 1 million units.

It isn’t clear, however, whether today’s figure accounts for the number of units shipped or sold through.

Other sales figures announced today include Sonic Boom, which sold a combined 620,000 units on Wii U and 3DS, and Football Manager 2015 which sold 810,000. Alien Isolation was SEGA’s top-selling packaged game for the entire fiscal year.

Alien Isolation launched on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in October and left Steve impressed for nailing “the true horror of Alien”.

Job ads for Creative Assembly posted back in March revealed that the studio is developing another “multi-platform AAA blockbuster” for PS4, Xbox One and PC, although it remains unclear whether it’s linked to a sequel.
