Yakuza series tops five million shipped copies

Zombie spin-off Yakuza Of The End ships 400,000.

The worldwide shipment figure for the Yakuza series has now topped five million, SEGA has announced.

It's also been revealed that the recently released Yakuza Of the End - a huge departure for the series with its zombie twist - has already shipped 400,000 in the two weeks since its release in Japan.

The Yakuza series began life on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, and has since seen three direct sequels - Yakuza 2, 3 and 4 - and three spin-offs: the samurai-inspired Kenzen, Black Panther on the PSP and the recent Of the End.
