yakuza 3 -

SEGA has announced that the Japanese hit Ryu ga Gotoku 3 (Yakuza 3), which sold over half a million copies, is to be released across Europe, Australia and the US exclusively for PS3 in March 2010.

"Yakuza 3 was one of the most requested titles for localisation by our European SEGA community, so we are delighted to be able to fulfil their wishes with this announcement," said Gary Knight, European Marketing Director, SEGA Europe Ltd. "As well as delving even further into the rich narrative of the Yakuza universe, the development team have pushed the PlayStation 3 hardware to the limits to produce a beautiful and startlingly realistic depiction of the Japanese underworld."

Yakuza 3 will feature full English subtitling, whilst retaining the outstanding voice acting from the original Japanese version of the game.

In this third game in the series players will take on the role of Kiryu Kazuma and will explore familiar Tokyo haunts from the first two games, along with a completely new setting in the tropical island of Okinawa.

They're releasing it in March which seems to be over crowded already with massive games. I see a slow sales start for this and I don't think it'll recover.

Played the Japanese demo and loved the brutal combat, but trying to impress the girls in a bar was tricky without understanding the language.I will buy this.

The problem with this is, the man behind bringing it outside of Japan claims it's the most "requested" he's seen, alot of people would think that's going to be good sales, he could be wrong.

Requesting and buying are two different things.

I would like to recommend the Japanese demo, but unfortunately it's all in Japanese, and thus makes the whole experience a little bit pointless.

About bloody time!

I'm glad that they will retain the Japanese voice cast.

I have never played a Yakuza game (apart from the Japanese demo of this one), so I'm looking forward to this.
