Once again in the capable hands of Blade Interactive, World Snooker Championship 2007 boasts 104 of the best players in the world and ten officially licensed tournaments. Players include last year's World Championship winner Shaun Murphy and the genius that is Ronnie O'Sullivan.
"Last year's World Snooker Championship was a massive hit for SEGA," commented Matt Woodley, Creative Director of SEGA. "We are delighted to be coming back for a new season, with new additions to the game and another opportunity to prove yet again that Blade Interactive really are masters of cuesports."
As well as snooker, players will be able to play in 9 and 8-ball pool competitions against some of the best pool players from all over the world. A new Golden Cue mode will let players test their skills in matches that combine pool with snooker, which we assume will be played a frame after the other, rather than some strange mutation of both. The final big addition is said to give the player more control over the cue ball. Positional play is the key to making big breaks and playing great safety, and World Snooker Championship 2007 will offer increased accuracy with its new positional play feature.
World Snooker Championship 2007 will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 in autumn 2006, while World Snooker Challenge 2007 for the PSP should also hit stores in the autumn.
