Disney proposes purchase of Ignition parent

Offering $454M to UTV.

Disney is proposing to buy out UTV Software Communications' stock, which would put the Ignition Entertainment label under its command.

The company currently owns 50.4 per cent of the equity share capital of UTV, and this proposed change would put 100 per cent equity in the control of Disney.

Disney is currently offering $454 million to UTV, according to Develop.

Recently Ignition cancelled its long-in-development title WarDevil for the second time, and later began laying off staff of MMO Faxion Online as the company moved away from internal game development.
