The Uncharted movie has lost its director Seth Gordon after the chairman of Sony Pictures’ Motion Picture Group Tom Rothman decided to take the project in a new creative direction, The Wrap reports.

Rothman took over from departed Sony Pictures chairman Amy Pascal in February 2015.

A similar report from Heroic Hollywood states that Rothman slashed the project’s production budget and now sees the movie not as Sony’s Indiana Jones, but more like Resident Evil. The script is also said to be back in development.

By our reckoning Gordon is the third director to drop out of the project, following David O. Russell and Neil Burger.
