Guys... Just why... The Amazing Spiderman above Halo 4 for example? Shocked, surprised and disappointed! haha
I didn't have enough time to get my votes in, and seeing the end verdict, I'm glad I haven't. Wow, The Amazing Spiderman... So who's being paid or enter a competition from Activision ;) #Spidergate
Surprising that Minecraft 360 edition didn't make the list? I liked the article but more comments from the forumites would of been welcomed. Spec Ops The Line was good, but top ten? I'll post my top ten later in this comment section when I have time :)
Well said FM. I love the GOTY article as it's basically a round up of the majority of forumites and their opinions on what I should buy in 2013 when they drop in price. Well written too, thank you Martin. :)
This list has a fair few FPS involved which has made me think a little about my own collection of FPS.
It's Call of Duty... and since buying this one title of FPS I've got the impression that they are all the same. I never played Borderlands or Far Cry. I've assumed a FPS, is just Call of Duty with a different background. I will now be happy to dabble in a few more from this genre with an open mind.
I didn't vote this year as didn't have anywhere near enough of an input to be able to give a valid opinion, hopefully next year will be different.
I voted for Spiderman as well - derived a lot of enjoyment for what it was - much more so than I expected. I commented that the web swinging could have been better if made more manual, but it provided lots to do, fun hunting/collecting, plenty of interesting villains, and was far superior to the film license it was tied to - one of the very rare instances of such being the case, and worthy of recognition for those points.

I really liked Spiderman but better than Mark of the Ninja, Halo 4 and Dishonored???
I think neutrals will be reading this and laughing at us tbh.
Normally we do really well on these lists but we really dropped the ball on this one.
But on a positive Max Payne 3 didn't get in the top 10 which would have been really embarrassing if it did.
Would've loved to have seen the top 56. One of the most interesting things about the Community GOTY nominations is that they're all titles that appeal to me as a core gamer. The final order doesn't seem to matter that much, these are essentially games recommended by my contemporaries who I've grown to know and trust over the years.
The word of mouth is still probably the most useful tool in my purchasing decisions, and the Community GOTY nominations are an epitome of that.
Well done borderlands 2. It's also nice to see that my top 2 games of this year (dustforce and Torchlight 2) made it onto the top 25 list, especially Dustforce considering it came out so early in the year!
