FIFA 13 is the top-selling game of 2013 so far, selling almost 2 million units across Europe between January and June 2013, according to a new report.

The figures (published by Metro) are said to have been compiled by Chart Track owner GfK International, which has taken data from 20 major European markets, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Spain and more.

Only 10 of the year's top-selling titles were actually released in 2013, the site reports, with last November's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 being the second best-selling title.

Tomb Raider is the most successful title released this year, coming in at third, and allegedly selling 1,363,610 across Europe following its release in March.

The second-best selling new release is The Last of Us, selling 858,635 copies within Europe.

EA, meanwhile, is said to be the most successful publisher of 2013 so far, holding a 17.25 per cent market share, followed by Nintendo with 11.82 per cent.

Last of Us also the only game in the top 20 not a sequel or reboot of an existing series. Great work, Naughty!
