Job listing hints at multiplayer mode for CD Projekt Red's upcoming "dark fantasy" RPG.
The Witcher 3 could include a new multiplayer mode, judging by a job listing posted by developer CD Projekt Red.
Posting on its website, Projekt Red revealed that it was hiring for a "Multiplayer Programmer" for its upcoming "RPG in a dark fantasy world", leading to speculation that a third Witcher title could include a multiplayer option.
"CD Projekt RED is looking for an experienced multiplayer programmer to work in our core team," says the job ad. "Your main responsibility will be to prepare our engine for challenges of upcoming online component of our future games."
The ad also says that "experience with physics in [a] multiplayer environment" would come in handy.
CD Projekt Red is currently developing two titles, a dark fantasy RPG - expected to be The Witcher 3 - and an RPG based on Cyberpunk.
