Skyrim PS3 patch fixes lag problems

Available to download now in Europe.

The European update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available to download for PS3, reports users of the Bethesda forums.

The update is 92MB and takes the game to version 2.01.

Bethesda VP of PR Pete Hines said the patch will offer "improved performance for long-term play on PS3".

Early reports suggest Bethesda has been true to its word, with lag issues now said to be all but gone.

Updates addressing issues specific to Xbox 360 and PC are also due imminently.

I noticed the update when I put it on after work. Nothing seems to have changed at all. Then again, I never did have a freeze which demanded a reboot. Hopefully now I won't have to worry.

Jackass. They've done him a favour and created the game in the first place.

I downloaded a patch this morning, I can't really tell the difference to be honest. I did attempt to save and thought my PS3 had frozen earlier, luckily it was a temporary freeze and I didn't have to turn my PS3 off before it corrected itself.

Anyone read any of the comments on that thread? Some people think they are owed the world to them. My favorite.
